About this series of artworks
The fundamental concept of my art is to explore the post-truth behaviours of society, which include altered information, conflicts between the heart and mind, and our cultural teachings and discipline. By peeling back the layers of society, I uncover the bizarre undercurrents flowing through our modern society. This exploration not only challenges the ontological understanding of being and existence in an affected reality but also raises questions about the epistemological foundations—how we know what we know, and what is deemed as truth in a post-truth era.
In this series, I depict the transformation of human personalities into terrifying, hybrid, and bizarre forms under the influence and pressure of socio-political conditions. These characters, both evolved and semi-evolving, are portrayed with a mix of satire, humour, and other emotions, which reflect the complex interplay between their minds and hearts. This creates a unique blend of the ordinary and the extraordinary.
My work is focused on society, socio-political conditions, and the preservation and erosion of human values, showing how everyday people are transformed into highly evolved or over-evolved beings, where the ordinary meets the extraordinary.
